Yes, children are welcome to play golf on either of our golf courses. However, our pro-shop reserve the right to restrict play depending on the age and skill of the child. An adult may be required to accompany under 16s. Full golf attire is required for any golfer wishing to play the courses.
Kids under 16 years are not permitted in the gyms or poolside facilities (jacuzzi, sauna and steam room). Your child may swim during the allocated children's swim times, but must be accompanied by an adult.
Children's swim times:
Monday - Sunday
8am - 12pm & 3pm - 7pm
Our treatments are suitable for people over the age of 16. We do not provide treatments for children under 16.
Breakfast is served in Hadrian's Brasserie from 7am - 10am weekdays and 7am - 11am on weekends.
Hadrian's Brasserie has stunning views across the terrace with a menu to match, you can enjoy your dinner here 5:30pm - 9:30pm. You can view our menu and wine list online here.

Love going with the family. Kids' favourite hotel in Northumberland.
First time we came as a family and my 12-year-olds loved the pool, especially the slide. We felt so relaxed that all of us were enjoying the experience. Everyone was so helpful and friendly that we could not wait to come back. Thank you.
Perfectly relaxed and great for our family. There was lots to do; we enjoyed the quad biking and use of the pool. Great staff, in particular, Emily, who served us in the restaurant was very informative and attentive. Really enjoyed our stay.
We stayed as a family of 5, the room was perfect, I wish the mattress could have come home with me! Dinner was fantastic, breakfast was delicious. The children enjoyed the hotel so much and were made to feel welcome.
We stayed overnight with 2 kids and a big dog in a family room. The hotel was lovely, staff were friendly and attentive. The room was excellent with more than enough space for us all. The kids particularly loved the swimming pool and little water slide.
An excellent week in Northumberland for a family ranging from 4 years old to 66! We had a lodge at Slaley Hall which was first class. Well maintained and very clean. We also enjoyed playing golf, walking, lunch and early evening drinks at the hotel.
Trip away with family, great service. Kids loved the pool and slide, great food. Service was really good. Langley suite was beautiful, very clean, spacious, and had lovely views! We will be back, kids are already asking to return.
Slaley Hall was the only hotel that could accommodate 2 adults and 3 children in a family room. It was very good value as the children’s accommodation was free, we only paid for their food. The swimming pool is excellent for families.
Loved this hotel. We stayed with two children (aged 7 and 3) and didn't feel in the way. The hotel is large but didn't feel rushed or overcrowded. This was a stopover for one night on our way home from holiday in Scotland and was perfect.
